Before The Fallen Lumber Co, you may have known us as OE Custom or MD Wood Countertops. Founded in 2012, we began salvaging local trees and turning them into amazing custom projects.

Over the years, we realized that the scale of wood waste we saw here in Baltimore was not unique. Communities across the country struggle to find ways to prevent this stunning resource from going to waste. That’s when we joined forces with Carbon Smart Wood™ to put Baltimore on the map as the national model for how to scale salvaged lumber.

Since then, we have been retooling our operation from fully custom objects to more standardized lumber and offerings. We’re now able to save more wood waste from landfills and work with Baltimore City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and cities across the country to create local jobs and plant new trees.
